Collect details about the properties
You need to have details about the total number and value of properties you want to submit. The Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act allows BC Unclaimed to request all information that a holder has about an owner. Please provide as many details as possible about each specific property and owner. This helps BC Unclaimed locate the rightful owner and reunite them with their property.
Determine if you are a mandatory or voluntary holder
Mandatory holders are required by the government to submit unclaimed property to BC Unclaimed. Voluntary holders can choose to submit unclaimed property to BC Unclaimed if they wish. Mandatory and voluntary holders use different forms when submitting properties to BC Unclaimed.

Submit online
Please create a holder account on this website and submit unclaimed property details online. You can transfer the value of the properties to BC Unclaimed by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) or cheque. If you would like to send the funds by EFT, please let BC Unclaimed know this during the approval process or when your submission is approved.
BC Unclaimed encourages all holders to submit online, but if you have less than 10 properties, you can submit the property details by mail if needed.
Forms for submitting properties
To complete your unclaimed property submission, you need:
Form A (Holder remittance summary, to submit online or by mail) AND, EITHER:
Form B spreadsheet (Detailed owner information for all properties, to submit online) OR
Form Bs (Detailed owner information for each property, to submit by mail).

Government agencies and other mandatory holders wanting to submit funds can call BC Unclaimed at 604.662.3518.
Transfer the value of properties
You can send the value of the submitted properties to BC Unclaimed by cheque or by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). If you would like to send money by EFT, please let BC Unclaimed know this during the approval process or when your submission is approved.
